“RADIOPHRENIA – the light at the end of the deal”

Two of my sound art work for radio “Conceive” and “K33” will be broadcast at

“RADIOPHRENIA – the light at the end of the deal” – from 5^th September - 20^th September 2026 . Broadcasting 24-hours a day

Radiophrenia will be broadcasting on 87.9FM from from the new studio location at 5 Florence Street in Glasgow’s Gorbals. Radiophrenia's broadcasting partners, Resonance Extra (UK) and Radio Tsonami (Chile),will also be relaying the entire broadcast on their platforms via their webstream - and on DAB+ Digital Radio in Brighton & Hove, Cambridge, Greater London, Norwich, King’s Lynn and Peterborough.

Across the two-week broadcast period, Radiophrenia presents a new series of specially commissioned Live-to-Air performances at 5 Florence Street

This work focuses on the representation of mental aspects related to memories, such as thoughts and feelings, traumatic events or emergencies, and their impact on the individual (humanity). No actual sounds of violence, witness testimonies, or moral judgments will be heard. It is merely a quiet reflection on all kinds of memories of harsh, destructive events. Yet these memories offer neither comfort nor hope. They leave only a void filled with unanswered questions.

The work is based on personal experiences traversing the paths and rooms filled with trash and debris in a former conservatory building in its final days before demolition. The work seeks a dialogue not only with the physical waste and space, but also with the spiritual debris of abandoned ideas, thoughts, and feelings.
