Joecly Kay, editor and curator of *Edge of Humanity Magazine*, contacted me some time ago to ask if the magazine could feature my photography project "Urban Structures." The project has now been published as photo essay in the magazine under the title "A Different Perception of The Urban Landscape," comprising a selection of ten photographic works—chosen from a total of eighteen—along with an accompanying text.

Edge of Humanity Magazine is an independent, non-discriminatory platform focused on publishing works that explore the human condition. Since 2014, in addition to a vast collection of photography and art, we have also featured both fictional and non-fictional works.

The portfolio and project "Urban Structures" currently comprises 18 photographic works in black and white in portrait format. None of the works has a specific title, but are named after the portfolio and project, supplemented by a number from 1 to 18. Each photographic work is divided into three sections: an upper one, a narrow middle one, and a lower one. All three sections within the work show different detailed motifs of objects, architectural fragments and spaces located in urban areas. All three sections of the work depict different, detailed motifs of objects, architectural fragments, and spaces in urban areas. With the exception of two works, the three sections present motifs from at least two and at most three different cities. The creators, builders, users, and passersby—in other words, citizens—of these fragmented objects and spaces do not appear. The images depict cities such as Berlin (DE), Yerevan (AM), The Hague (NL), Prague (CZ), Milan (IT), Liege (BE), Eberswalde (DE), Tokyo (JP), Kolkata (IN), Dhaka (BD), Quito (EC) and Toronto (CA).
