7th International Biennial of Performance,

"Emancipation"

My two videos "bare to you and me" and "conecta-no conecta " will be shown in the 7th International Biennial of Performance, on the 30 and 31 of January 2021 at Sala E, Cinemateca Bogota, Bogota, Colombia.

Both videos will be also shown on 2^nd and 10^th of February on the website of PerfoArtNet

Art has shown that it allows to liberate, point out, question, criticize and transform beings, minds and contexts, for this reason the VII Biennial is a space where art, body and thought. They reflect on emancipation; which is the act of liberating or freeing oneself from a person, circumstance, rule or control system. So we invite you to peacefully emancipate yourself with artistic-bodily events that make it easier for us to reflect on what is happening in our social environment. The use of the body and art are fundamental in the claim of many rights, it seems that the world is sick and we need to heal it with small and large actions.

Work of mine will be presented at Lusted Men. The Lusted Men collective and project offers a plunge into the heart of the practice of erotic photography of men* in an ephemeral space in the heart of Saint-Germain des Prés.

Lusted Men is an investigation initiated in the summer of 2019 with the aim of questioning the eroticization of men's bodies* through photography. Born from a call for participation - always open - the Lusted Men collection brings together to date nearly 300 contributions.

Through this gesture, Lusted Men hopes to create a visual archive of contemporary intimacy, far from the representations imposed by patriarchy and hetero-normativity.

In these times of the pandemic many people become aware of the restrictions of the “usual”. Those things which were taken for granted before receive suddenly an unusual status. Time seems to be paralyzed, set in quarantine – or is it just a paradigm shift?
