About the work
The picture shows the view from my study window onto the street corner early in the morning. A pink bicycle lies half in the street, half on the sidewalk. But where is the cyclist? Does the journey end here, where did it begin? Did he carelessly abandon the bicycle or did he quickly jump off to get something? Or is it a takeaway bike that someone is now missing somewhere? I want to leave this melancholic neighborhood and travel to the district of happiness. But it seems as if the journey ends here and goes nowhere else.
