Creatives in Residence – Zhejiang 2012

From 5th of September until of 25th September 2012 I was invited at the artist/designer Residence of Sunhoo Industrial Design Park in Hangzhou, China. The aim of the residence program at Sunhoo Industrial Design Park is to become a space for artist and designers to go beyond cultural borders, acquire knowledge about materials and designs in Zhejiang, exchange their unique perspectives.

During my stay I created several in and outdoor installations made from material such as rocks, gravel, bamboo, rope and bricks.  As well I started two new photo portfolios where tehe main mtovives are based on chairs and stil lifes mde from ordinary daily used things.

I also gave presentation at the Chinese Art Academy in Hangzhou

Weissenseer Blumenfestival

Land Art Object Unknown Symbols (Oeuvre 9014)

Art Event and Festival  from 24th of August - 26th of August 2012 in the Berlin surburb
of Weissensee and Park am Weissem See (Tram M4, M13,12,27, Bus 158,255). My object is on display  in the park from the 22nd of August until the 2nd of September 2012

                                        

The installation was shown for the first time in August 2012 in Berlin. The installation is movable and as the ideas and concepts behind it staying the same, however at every location the shape and size will change. Counting on that every location is different shaped and ask a different approach for example concerning the number and size of the trees and their distance to each other. The installation is made from jute and includes as a basic frame several trees of the surrounding. The installation concept is based on the idea of  unknown symbols. Symbols where their rational meaning is not directly clear to us. The second  idea of  the colored stripes is to make  space and objects in the surrounding environment more distinctive and give them a individual touch as no design repeats.

Stranger than Paradies

Photo installations reflecting in a abstract and subtle manner  impressions and thoughts about Neukölln and immigration. The images were taken  between November 2010 and Aril 2012. Not to  many immigrants  find a paradise  in the end.  Not here in Neukölln and not anywhere else in the world

Land Art event in Comines-Wharneton, Belgium from 28 May - 03 June 2012.
I will create a installation named Triangle- State of Affairs. As many of my works
there are more then one interpretation in it and dealing with several themes in a
subtle manner. - seeking freedom, destruction, war, violence . But on the otherside it
can be also a symbolism for protection. It´s a installation made up by three parts based
on a triangel froms. The installation is made up by 2150 bricks
