Vrij Paleis is a space run by artists and cultural entrepreneurs. Its aim is to maintain an affordable space for creativity and experimentation in the heart of Amsterdam indefinitely. This is achieved by providing space for exhibitions and socio-cultural activities, while the gallery remains autonomous and non-profit.

The two photographic works strongly relate to the themes and keywords "hidden in the obvious", "isolation", "mental health problems" and "identities".
