About the exhibition

Magistrale Kunsthalle presents a cross-border exhibition project that focuses on the connection between cycling culture and contemporary art.

The exhibition brings together artistic positions that explore the bicycle as an object, symbol, and medium. On display are sculptures, installations, conceptual works, and mobile artworks that address issues of mobility, sustainability, public space, and social change.

About the photo works

The concept behind the three images is based on depicting bicycles from unusual or unsettling perspectives.These bicycles symbolize malfunctions and the temporary inability to continue riding. For a brief moment, however, they become a kind of installation art in public space. They show that a bicycle is not just a means of transport, but can suddenly transform into an art object that can be discovered in the urban environment.
