Subject of the video exhibition is a return and back... to life in a wide sense.

The work goes about return and to be back to a point or situation and how it can affect us in our lonely inner strife . Did we come voluntary or we were forced to be back .It's the same or did things changed and nothing is as before. Or just trying to pick up life and restart again, maybe even better. . Will memories overwhelming us. We become all isolated in our thoughts and memories. We leaving a situation or place and maybe we never return physical but our thoughts and mental state will return and bring us back.

My work ZEN XV Linocut on Japanese paper was selected for the biennial.

About the work:

This print belongs to a small linocut series called Black Zen Matter. The motif shows strong Far Eastern influences and thoughts which are a direct result of my life and work periods in Taiwan and China During my times in the Far Eastern region my prints and works under went a metamorphosis from colorful figurative works to abstract, minimal art works with the limited use of colors.

The DA ! Art Award is presented every two years by the Düsseldorf Reconnaissance Service under a changing theme. The wants to inspire artists to take a critical look at religion and irrationalism. The nominated works will be presented to the public in a one-week exhibition in the Düsseldorf City Museum. Topic in 2020: ... does not work beyond the placebo effect!

2020 is about deceptive beliefs. Whether homeopathy and Bach flower therapy, religion or esoteric promises of salvation: pseudo medicine and religious belief can work. Thus, a prayer can convey strength and confidence that a medically ineffective drug can promote recovery. But these effects have nothing to do with the intervention of God / Yahweh / Allah, nor do they - in the case of homeopathy - result from the fictitious memory of the water. Rather, psycho social and cultural factors are responsible for these effects. And what also applies to globules always applies: no effect beyond the placebo effect.

Made in mind is the invention of human dignity, human disparity, human perceptions and human nature. It is to bring all the different norms, values and expressions into one forum, to share artists’ expressive ideologies. This project is deliberated to create a dialogue among every human race to act upon and realize the fact of our presence in the world.

Living life without social engagement is tough to handle. As human we are social being. No matter how and what we perceive we always try to share to our loved ones in close contact. Social involvement is crucial to vent out different forms of emotions including frustrations, anxiety and depressions. As an artist, every individual intends to express his/ her stories and others stories. Everyone have different experiences to share and different stories to tell..

About my video “Black” A short metaphoric piece. It’s about death, isolation and the separation from life. As well a metaphor about the virus crisis situation nowadays humans and world is struggling with. How vulnerable we are and how related is everything between humans and their social and natural environments. To use the epitaph of the Irish poet William Butler Yeats "Cast a cold eye On life, on death. Horseman, pass by! ". More is not to say.

About my video "VIEW" A journey, but not to faraway shores and horizons. It is more about a very profane and daily journey. Finally it goes about feelings, situations, encounters and relation between humans in a metropolis
