Summary of the special launch event ArtWorks Together
On 12th February 2026 a special all-day event/launch event was held with most of the participating artists to introduce the festival and the exhibition.
The event included an exclusive preview of the exhibitions for the participating artists, the presentation of the shortlist, and finally, the announcement of the winners of the five awards. There were also Q&A sessions, guided tours, and several short speeches on the challenges faced by artists with disabilities or autism, and how they can gain visibility and participate in the art world. All participating artists have one or more disabilities, primarily a learning disability (e.g., Down syndrome, auditory processing disorder, APD, etc...) and/or autism.
The exhibition not only presents the artists' works but also provides background information on the works and the artists themselves. My video work, “You Get...uoY teG”, is featured in the exhibition. It was also shortlisted.
