“Anticipating
You” Video and Photography Project

Between
the 8th of September until 16th of October I am
staying and working at the Art Center “Pushkinskaya-10”
Here
St. Petersburg, I am currently working on a video project of several
parts which will be a metaphoric investigation and interpretation of
St. Petersburg. The titles “Anticipating You” and “Night,
Street, Streetlight, The drugstore” link to the famous poems of
Alexander Blok which, along with works by Anna Akhmatova, serve as
the base for several sequences of the video. The exhibition in the
2,04 gallery features materials from the St. Petersburg project, as
well as a selection of previous video works. An artist talk will take
place during the opening on October the 8th at 19:00.
The
project is carried out with kind support of Stroom (Center of the
Arts, The Hague, Holland) in the framework of the St. Petersburg Art
Residency program
